Monday Inspiration

I love to start off each week with a little bit of inspiration.  We all have something amazing to offer in this world (that's why God made us).  And I just wanted to share some things that I have run across that have been inspiring me.

What is inspiring you this week?

Twist Out Tutorial

Yay!  Here's the step by step on how I do my twistouts.  I filmed this right before my last relaxer, so a sistah had some CRAZY new growth, but you get the idea.  Also, please enjoy the part where my camera decides to be REAL crazy!

Let me know if you have any questions.  It's my first video available in HD!  Yay!

DIY Deep conditioner

Hey Beauties!  I posted this pic to Instagram the other day and there were some questions regarding the products I use.

First, I use the Queen Helene in the largest portion as the base for the DC (deep conditioner).  Then I just squirt in a little bit of all of the oils you see above.  I leave it on for 30 minutes to several hours depending on the results  I want.  And finally rinse.  It's easy.  I don't even measure the amount of each.  As long as the oils stir into the cream, we're good!

I picked up the NOW Solutions oils at GNC.  It's the closest thing I have to a health food store here in downtown LA.  And the Queen Helene is from Rite Aid.  The AuraCacia grapeseed oil was a gift from my mom.  So, I'm not exactly sure where you can get that particular brand.  But, I know NOW Solutions has grapeseed oil, too.

So, there you have it.  Not too complicated and not too expensive since you get lots of uses out of these and it keeps well if you have any left over.

What do you use to deep condition?

The Pineapple Method

I was skeptical about trying the pineapple method, but IT ACTUALLY WORKED. My curls still looked pretty bomb the next morning. Has anyone tried this method before?
